Hello lovely, we are so super excited that you have come through to this page and we would love for you to join us on this journey as we explore what our bodies are capable of.  

 As two sisters who have always been active, majority of our adult years have been dedicated to building a Bootyful physique but as with age (Roxie entering into her 30's in July and Monie already 3 years into her 30's) it has become apparent that our bodies are needing a little more TLC to perform the same simple movements we were able to do in our 20's. Apparently there is more to having a healthy body than just being fit and strong,  you need to ensure your muscles and joints are flexible and healthy too. 

One of the biggest contributors to our bodies inability to move is our sedentary lifestyles, do you know that  the average person sits for on average 9 hours a day. Now add that to average of 8 hours of sleep and you have 17 hours of you sitting on your booty and not moving.. not exactly healthy! Sitting causes your hip flexors to shorten, which can lead to problems with your hip joints

So, as you can see whether you are looking to improve your performance, maintaining a proper posture, decrease stress, improve circulation, wanting to delay the onset of decreased mobility that comes with aging or simply making everyday movements, such as stepping over things and reaching across the kitchen counter or up to a high shelf, much easier. Stretching can only be beneficial and should form part of your daily routine.

So what is stretching? Stretching is a form of physical exercise in which a specific muscle or tendon (or muscle group) is deliberately flexed or stretched in order to improve flexibility (Thank you Wikipedia!)
